I've been in the office since 5 am PST. I'm in the middle of doing an INSTALL test of a new version of this product that I support for work. I hit some snags yesterday afternoon because of issues with the database instance that I was doing the install in. To make things short, I got screwed yesterday so here I am in the morning trying to finish this crap. Oh fun stuff!!!!

Have you ever had that feeling that having too many friends is too much? So much that you don't know who to hang out with, who to confide on (aside from your significant other), or who to invite to your upcoming wedding?? hehehe.... sorry, I had to put that out there for humor.... :-)

I, for one, have a lot of friends. Tons as a matter of fact. God has blessed me with the ability to make friends since my personality endears me to different kinds of people. But having a ton of people doesn't mean having quality people. A strong relationship only happens if you work hard at it. It takes time, commitment, patience, and understanding. But how can you give a relationship your all if you're spread thin all over the place? Should you compromise your myriad relationships to concentrate on a few? And how do you determine which few to work on?

I gotta sleep on this. For some reason it's bugging me.

"Burn rubber.... Not your soul"
-- from the movie Biker Boyz

Work hard for what you want and work hard for what you have. But most of all, work hard for yourself and never, ever lose your perspective and your identity. I like that.

You know what sucks? I have all these ideas that I want to write up about in my blog but a majority of them come up when I am either in bed, away from the computer, or in any other situation that does not allow me to write them down so I can be reminded to expound on them later on. To me, this is a problem, because if I don't do anything about it at that moment, it will not get done. My personality is unique in that sense. I am a borderline lazy ass that needs prodding to get things done. Just ask my fiancee. But when I do start on it, it does get done. :-) I guess that's something about me that I really need to work on. Dao gets mad at me, cuz I always promise to do this and that, and it eventually never gets done. That should be my resolution for next year. But instead of starting next year, I should start now. Oh!! Here we go again!! Another promise!!! Just stay tuned......

Dao and I just did the high school thing and saw two movies for the price of one. We saw Pirates of the Carribean and Matchstick Men. Two words -- F*CKIN' AWESOME!!! I gotta make this entry short since it's almost one and I'm frickin' tired, but you gotta see both of these movies. They were hillarious. Nuff said!! G'night y'all!!!

In regards to my Tamia post, I think another thing I liked about the song was the stream of progression from beginning to end. In the beginning, she talked about not recognizing the person that she was with. She mentioned how distant and aloof he's become and how different and uncaring his treatment has been of late. All this leads her to believe that he's changed for the worse, possibly because he's moved on to a new love. But in the end, after much thinking and self-realization, she went on to point that SHE might be the one that's changed. Possibly, their relationship forced her to evolve in such a way that she's the one that's become distant. To me, such a realization is a leap towards a better understanding of yourself and how you can improve.

DEEP, dude!!!!

Tamia is a hot singer!!! I found her music video, Stranger in my House, in Yahoo Launch a couple of days ago and I've been playing it at least 10 times a day now for the past three days. The song is wonderful, to say the least. You can really tell she's putting her all into the song because of the full range of emotions her voice is expressing. I'm not musically inclined, so if there's a word or phrase for that, please forgive me for not using it. And as for the video itself, KUDOS!!!! I'm a visual person so I appreciate it when someone as hot as her shows off their stuff. I really think it adds to the song. Her tan alone is to kill for!!!

Anyway, my favorite part of the video is when she sings the following section of the song:

....
Pop Quiz
Tell me where we first kissed
Tell me where my spot is
Tell me where I like it
....

When you ask your lover where "your spot" is, you ain't talking about a spot on the couch!!! Anyway, the moment she says the line about her spot, she gives this naughty look as she stares into the camera that can get a rise from even a 92 year old, Viagra-using doof from Kampuchea. All I can say is, WOW!!!!

Wow!!! This is going to be the first entry in my blog account. Interesting. So interesting that this little voice in my head is telling me to make it as awesome as possible. But attempting to do so may muddle the true purpose of a BLOG account. I'm not really sure what the "rules of engagement" are so I'll just play this by ear and see where it goes.

As always, I'm starting this BLOG because I got influenced by my friend Ray Warriner and a million other accounts I've perused through in the past few days. The one thing that is appealing to me about this new tech wonder called the BLOG is the diary aspect of it's existence. It's like writing in a book on one hand and then writing a chapter of a novella about your life on the other. You can do so much with this or so little with it, depending on how much time (and soul searching) you devote on this endeavor.

I have not decided yet how much of myself I will write into this BLOG, but as time goes on, my pattern will emerge and my true self should pop up in the words that I write. Since this is the first entry, I will cut this short. Therefore, in the words of the venerable Stan Lee of Marvel Comics Fame -- "Make Mine Marvel!!!"
